Dates: June 18th and 19th, 2011.
Tech inspection: 10am
Time trials all day
Qualifiying for reaction time king of the hill race: 12 - 4pm.
Basically the best reaction time for each hour, qualifies the driver to have a four car showdown which is also reaction time based. This is a good way to showcase how important it is to be good on the Tree, to do well at drag racing.
Also all day Saturday there will be qualifying for The quick 8's shoot outs that will happen on Sunday
Of course, to wrap the day up with the always entertaining burnout competition.
Time trials for the morning and qualifying for the quick 8's.
Then around 1pm We'll be doing some Bracket racing.
There will be 3 classes this year for the bracket races, which will give everyone a chance to participate and have a chance to win some cash !
- Quick 8 Power Adder Class (Turbo, Super Charged and Nitrous)
- Open Class (for anyone else that doesn't qualify for the above classes)
This event is a GLASS FREE event. Please keep your beverages in aluminum cans or plastic bottles.
There are NO FIREWORKS permitted.
Regarding the return road on race days: This was a nightmare last year for anyone racing. There were people crowded around the return lane and there was tons of opposing traffic.
So to solve this problem we're hoping to implement a second lane that runs parallel with the return lane (staked off, on the grass). This lane will be used to drive up to your camp site. Please use some common sense when driving up the return lane. Cars with numbers on the windshields have the right of way. If you meet one, pull off into the grass and let them pass by.
Anyone with big slick tire cars, such as full drag cars, can be American muscle type stuff etc. is more then welcome to aid in having the most traction available.
