David Douthit has grown up around drag racing and as long as he can remember he has wanted to be a drag racer. David started early on helping his father on the family’s wheel stander Smokey Red, then again on the jet dragster when they made the switch in 1985. In 1993, one week after graduating high school David received his jet dragster license. At that time David was the quickest and fastest teenager in the world. Since then David and his family have traveled the world making exhibition runs with their jet dragster. They have run in places like Hawaii, Aruba, Curacao, Japan, Mexico City, and all over the U.S. and Canada.
